Hi Lindsay – I just found them at our regular grocery store. I do think chopping up Andes mints would be a perfect substitute though. I hope you enjoy them!

Where do they sell Andes Creme de menthe baking chips? I want to make these bars but can’t find the chips anywhere. Can I chop up Andes mints and substitute them for the chips?

That is hilarious you are a chip hoarder! I had to stop keeping them b/c I would open up the package and eat some for dessert These bars look delicious! The pistachios and mint sound like a good combo!

I think the hoarding is because we’re foodies. I do the same thing. You should see my fridge and pantry. You’d think I was getting ready for a famine. I love that you ground the pistachios — very neat recipe.

What a great idea! I love Andes mints, and I love to add ground nuts to baked goods – the flavor is to die for, and it keeps the cake, etc, moist and yummy. Delicious!

These look delicious and I am not a huge baker. I keep a bag of regular semi sweet chips on hand but that’s usually it. Boring I know I think I am going to make these especially because they’re outside my usual things I make and it’s time to change things up.

What an interesting combination! I have a jar of different candies to use as chips too. Chocolate covered espresso beans, M&Ms, etc. I can’t let anyone else see my source though! It would be gone in no time.

I don’t just have all kinds of chips, but I have chocolate bars, all kinds of Hershey’s Kisses and other candies. One can never have enough!
Great idea. If it wasn’t so darn hot here, I’d bake something with all my goodies. Hmmm, maybe I’ll have to put some in ice cream with my new ice cream maker!

Oooh! This is such a unique idea and it sounds awesome!! I do the same thing with baking chips. I HATE when I want to bake something right this minute but have to go to the grocery store first. So I love to have lots of ingredients on hand!
